United’s 7-0 Triumph: A Performance Worth the Wait

That 7-0 victory over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup wasn’t just a blowout—it was essential. This is the kind of performance we’ve been waiting for. The team needed a performance like this to kickstart some momentum after a shaky start to the season. This was their biggest win under Ten Hag, and what a way to cruise into the fourth round.

Let’s talk about Marcus Rashford. Two goals, breaking a six-month goal drought—it was vintage Rashford He’s looking confident, composed, and exactly where we need him to be: in front of goal, scoring like it’s second nature. Rashford breaking his six-month drought is huge. He’s the kind of player who, when in form, changes the entire dynamic of United’s attack. This is the Marcus we need, every single game.

Then there’s Alejandro Garnacho, who was electric on the pitch. Two goals, clinical finishing, and he was constantly a threat. Garnacho is a game-changer—every time he’s involved, United look dangerous. His performance is making it harder for Ten Hag to leave him out of the starting XI.

Christian Eriksen? Pure class. Two late goals to seal the deal, but it wasn’t just about scoring—his vision and ability to control the midfield were next-level. He’s the calm in the chaos, always in control and setting up the attacks. Pulling the strings, controlling the tempo, and bagging two goals of his own—he made it look easy.

And we can’t forget Antony, who got himself on the scoresheet with a penalty. After a bit of a dry spell, that goal was a confidence booster he needed.

This win isn’t just about progression in the Carabao Cup—it’s about reminding everyone that United is still a team capable of blowing away opponents with pure, relentless football. High-scoring games are part of our DNA. Remember when we put 9 past Southampton in 2021 or the 9-0 against Ipswich back in ’95? This 7-0 feels like a reminder that, on our day, we can be that team again.

Now, it’s all about consistency. If we can bring this energy to the Premier League and beyond, we’re in for a thrilling season. Let’s go, United, Let’s keep this momentum rolling.🔴

2020 wrap up: Manchester United version

Manchester United started the season with 27 point away from the first spot and ended with 3 points away and a game in hand.

Bruno Fernandes magic? or Ole really is a tactic genius?
All i want to say is we are officially back in the title race and i would definitely start “21 is coming home” after we have won few more games. (kidding)

We were at the 5th place in the start of Jan and went further down to seventh before Bruno’s arrival (trust me I’m no “playerFC” person but he is the best thing happened to us this year)

Very few players are able to make the kind of impact Bruno have had after his arrival.

Ending the saddest year with a win has made us all excited but I would love to watch us continue this form and be consistent in Premier League.

It’s time to look at how our team has done in the calendar year.

Here are the few factors that made up our year.

Ole Gunner’s nightmare: Injuries
Start of 2020 was like living in hell as a ManUtd fan. In the first game of the new year the Reds fell against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal (lol) and questions were raised on Solskjaer’s future at the club. However, as the Red Devils gathered themselves in the absence of key players, Marcus Rashford injured his back and was ruled out for a significant part of the season while Paul Pogba was already ruled out.

It felt like the end of the career which had not even started for Ole and the start of yet another cycle which would rip the team apart. (those were the days when I felt vulnerable as a United fan) We had just gotten rid of the negativity and here we were in the same dark tunnel desperately looking for yet another hand to pull us out of it. And Bruno Fernandez entered in our lives. (getting emotional)

Signing of Bruno Fernandes

United fans were relived when the reds finally signed the Portuguese magnifico. He came as a blessing in disguise and quickly became a fan favorite the moment he arrived. Such enthusiasm, motivation to his team mates and never giving up attitude already made him a contender for captaincy.

(Man of his words) Bruno Fernandes said:
“My love of Manchester United really started when I used to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play and ever since then I have been a big fan of this great club.  For me to now play for Manchester United feels incredible, I have worked hard to get to this moment and I can promise the fans that I will give everything for the badge to help bring us more success and trophies.

Let the number speak
18 goals and 13 assists, Fernandes has been directly contributed to just over half of Manchester United’s 60 Premier League goals since he made his debut.

Those 31 Premier League goal contributions saw Fernandes break Frank Lampard’s calendar record for a midfielder of 29, set in 2009.

Since his debut, no Premier League player has more goals (12) or assists (six) away from home than the 26-year-old.

Fernandes has become the first Portuguese player to score 10 goals in a Premier League season since Cristiano Ronaldo in 2008-09. (finally someone to match his stats)

Robert Lewandowski and Lionel Messi are the only players with more direct goal contributions in Europe’s top five leagues than Fernandes since the start of February.

If he takes this form to 2021 and be consistent, we can say that he can be the contender of the player of the season award. (I would def vote for him)

Most Goals and Assists Contribution in the Calendar Year 2020:

Lewandowski (30 Goals ⚽+ 5 Assists )
Lionel Messi (18 goals ⚽+16 Assists)
Bruno Fernandez (18 goals+14 Assists)
Cristiano Ronaldo (26 goals ⚽ + 4 Assists)

Among them Bruno is the only midfielder to feature in the list.

Semi final exits
It wasn’t all glorious for the Reds, Ole still had to get back to winning ways and that’s when the Red Devils suffered a big blow when they lost to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final, having lost to City in the semi final of Carabao Cup previously. And things got worse when United were knocked out of the Europa League by Sevilla (heartbreaking) Three Semi Final defeats were a lot to take in but we gulped down the humiliation and moved on.

The heat up between Bruno and Lindelof.

Transfer window: Sancho drama
Jadon Sancho was Solskajer’s No.1 priority, but the laid back approach from the Man United board saw Sancho slip out of their hands and stay put at Dortmund for another season. After chasing Sancho all summer and an enquiry to Watford for winger Ismaila Sarr didn’t progress, the dead line day kept United busy. The Reds completed the signing of Donny van de Beek, with Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles, along with youngsters Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo all in a matter of few hours.

The lack of proper planning for the summer transfers meant that Man United started the season behind their rivals, who used the opportunity to strengthen their squads for a grueling season.

Literally all the United fans during summer transfer window.

Champions League, a dream.
The Premier League season was a night mare for the Reds how ever the the grass was green in the Champions League. Dismantling PSG again and humiliating RB Leipzig was fruitful but the tides turned quickly and the Reds crash out of the Champions League.

A horrendous defeat in Turkey followed by the PSG stealing a win at home meant that Man United needed a point from their game against RB Leipzig, but eventually fell short and returned to the Europa League. The Champions League dream crashed as quickly as it had started.

Bitter memories.

Humiliating 1-6 defeat
We do not need a reminder for this, It’s printed on our minds. Not even in their wildest dream Jose and his team would have thought they will get to taste such a fruitful win at OT against the team they dream to be. When Bruno Fernandez penalty in the second minute after Anthony Martial was brought down, Man Utd appeared to be on course for all three points. But it doesn’t always go as you plan. Within five minutes of taking the lead, Spurs hit back with two goals and things did not get any better for the Reds after that.

Martial’s red card was a cue we were defeated long before the FT whistle.

The Drama.

Manager’s performance
For the most of his time at United Ole has been questioned about his plans and tactics for the team. Weather you are Ole in or Ole out we have to accept the fact that he has handled the job pretty well till now.

If you keep the cup games aside, from having a terrible started to the league finishing the year on the 2nd place with a game in hand is indeed blissful. The fans have already declared United in the title race.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can get the first piece of glory if he manages to take his team through the Carabao Cup semi final against the noisy neighbors and go on to win the cup. Hope we lift the curse off cup semi final and get the taste of glory ourselves.

Over all it wasn’t all that bad under Ole. I would definitely give him the benefit of doubt and would love to give this unbearable cycle of manager change a rest.

What’s next?

United have as many wins as Liverpool in the Premier League and are three points behind with a game in hand. We play Aston Villa next on 2nd Jan, 2021 1:30 am IST.

Match Preview: Manchester United vs Crystal Palace.

After the dramatic end to last season, we welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford for the first game of the 2020/21 season.

Having lost just once against the visiting team in the previous 22 games. That loss is still fresh in every MUFC fans mind (hard to forget that last-minute fuckery)

After scoring in the 93rd-minute goal CP’s Patrick Aanholt become the first and to date only visiting player to score a 90th-minute winner away against United in the Premier League.

Crystal Palace have never won back to back league trips against United, only six sides have won away at Old Trafford in consecutive PL games- Man City, Bolton, Liverpool, Southamton, Spurs and West Brom.

Analysing the opposition.
CP are unbeaten in their last four PL away games, one of them being Manchester United. The last team that went unbeaten in their last five PL away games was Chelsea. Will CP be the next team to secure this record? (hell no, why would you think that?)

CP has started their 20/21 campaign with a 1-0 win over Southampton. However, Red Devils have won their opening game more times than any other side (19)

On the other hand, CP has never won two consecutive games at the start of any top-flight campaign.

Me when I see Bruno score 😀

Manchester United have lost just one of their last 17 Premier League games at Old Trafford (ohh yeaahhh)

With just one month and three daybreak, one friendly against Aston Villa (and one hell of a Sancho transfer drama) United are back in the business.

All eyes will be on on their newest and the only addition- Van De Beek. After participating in the only pre-season game against Aston Villa the Dutch forward will probably come on to make his debut at the 60 minute mark. MUFC fans have to be patient with him, he will take time to adjust to his new environment, teammates and style of play.

Our new addition. :*

The hosts will be favorable to win but cannot underestimate the team which defeated us twice at home last season.

Injury update
Phil Joans and Axel Tuanzebe are still unavailable
“Phil Jones is still out,” Ole told in his exclusive pre-match interview with MUTV. “Axel is not 100 per cent back with us yet, but he’s on the grass running, which is a positive. Apart from that, we don’t have any serious injuries, but, as we’ve said, the players are at different stages of their training programmes.

“We need points and the players need games but some of them haven’t trained enough or had enough football. Some of them have been in quarantine, it’s just one of these situations which we’ve adapted to really well before and the players have done well.”

2019/2020 Season Review

The longest season ever has come to an end, even though United have lost too many semi-finals we have a lot to take away from this season.

From 14th position in October 2019 to fighting and finishing in top 3 was a big achievement. Ole’s first season was all about fixing the team and that’s what he has done.

Getting rid of all the deadwood and making space for the young fresh talent. weren’t we cribbing about this for years?

That’s what United is all about that’s our culture and 99′ squad have proved everyone who was against this culture wrong.

But is it helping us now? I would say yes, the biggest proof we have is Greenwood. Had Ole not given him enough chances he wouldn’t have able to show what he can do.

Then there is Williams who sent a player like Shaw to the bench, McTom is another example, he replaced Matic when Ole came in.

The first half of the season was bizarre. We drew too many games, played like a championship team. Our most important players Rashford, Martial and Pogba were injured. And the team was in charge of players like Lingard, Pereira, Mata.

Maguire was a good addition to the team after Smalling was sent away to Inter.
We conceded 36 goals compared to 54 goals in the last term, we have the third-best defence in the PL and we cannot forget countless mistakes that David De Gea made.

Last season we earned 66 points same like this year but last year we finished 6th 66 points for 3rd place was too bad, shows how bad we were. Before December we had picked up only 34 points from 24 games win rate was 37.5% and we conceded 24 goals in 29 games which are total rubbish.

I would blame the injury of our key players, within first four games of the season we lost Martial and Pogba, which affected our form terribly and by the mid of Oct we were thrown down to 14th place on the table, we earned only 9 points from 8 games before the international break.

By this time we had only two goals since August and the only goal we scored without Pogba was through penalty.

After the international break, things started to look bright for United when they drew the yet to be defeated side- Liverpool. What changed? The mighty Frenchmen Anthony Martial had returned and by December we defeated Spurs and City within a week.

We earned 59 points from 29 games after his arrival, only Liverpool and City had more and if would have played at this pace we could have probably earned more than 73 points.

When Bruno arrived we did not had to change the style of the play rather he fit the team so well that we not only started winning but started scoring good number of goals in most of the games, the goal percentage went from 1.74 pg to 2.33 pg.

we played Chelsea and City eight times and won six of them but the main problem lies against the small teams who come to the pitch which the sole purpose of parking the bus in front of the front men.

There are a lot of places where we need to improve. Qualifying for Champions League shouldn’t be our aim but rather fighting for the title and going ahead in Champions League as far as we can.

Over all according me Ole has done a decent job. He cleared out the deadwood that we have been dragging along since so many years, he made a clear space for the young fresh faces from the academy.

He made Greenwood in to a first team player when he had no more than 1 first team start.

Fred who wasn’t even a second choice midfielder had a great team under Ole

Nemanja Matic did not even look eye to eye with Ole is now an important part of the team. Even though he came into the light after McTom had to be dropped due to injury.

What do we need to do to be better?
Well, it’s no secret, We really really need to add squad depth. With Van De Beek our midfield will be strong and stable but we need a good LB, RW and a good second choice attacker who can come on for Martial.

How will you describe this season in one word?

Pogba: I missed football so much.

With Bruno Fernandez well settled in and the Reds have once again are on the winning streak, Paul Pogba looks likely to extend his contract.

Pogba started the 19/20 season in good form but had to be away due to ankle injury since the end of September.

“Just being back training, touching the ball and doing what I love is amazing; I missed it so much,” he declared.

“You realise when you’re out for a long time how much you really enjoy playing football and how much you love it. So obviously I’m really, really happy and so blessed to be back and be fully fit now, and I’m enjoying being back with the team.”

Paul Pogba is likely to extend his contract with United.

“I feel great, I feel much, much better now. I’ve been training well and they [the club] have been looking after me very well. I’ve been doing some extra work and treatment on my ankle and the rest of my body. And my team-mates as well, they’ve helped me to come back and feel confident. It’s like I never left, the guys still trust in me and always believe in me and that’s helped me a lot as well.

The arrival of the Portuguese magician Bruno Fernandez has uplifted the team spirit and has lead to the unbeaten run of 16 games.

Both of the players (Pogba and Bruno) were not present the last time we played Aston villa- our next opponents.

“I was in the stadium watching the game and I remember Victor [Lindelof] scoring for us,” said Paul.

We know what we have to do there [at Villa Park]. We need points so honestly, we have to think about ourselves. We need to get the win and carry on with what we’ve been doing in the last few weeks.”

Pogba and Burno against Spurs.

“You can tell that the team is improving a lot, We play more as a team than we did before, we enjoy it, even more, we defend together, we attack together, and this team is stronger as well. The players who are on the bench or who don’t play every time, when they come on they help the team so the mentality is good and is right. All this together has put us where we are today.”

Match Facts:

Ole and team will look to strengthen their top-four chances, if they are able to take all 3 points against their next opponents (Aston Villa) then they will be just 1 point behind Leicester.

Villa hasn’t won any of the last 15 games against United in all competitions, including the 2-2 draw between the sides in December.

The Reds are also unbeaten in the last 20 away league clashes with Thursday’s opponents, a run that stretches back to 1995!

It’s actually the longest unbeaten away run one team has had against another in top-flight history.

Anthony Martial in action against Villa.

The top scorer in this fixture in the Premier League is Wayne Rooney with 12 goals – four more than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Four current Reds have netted for United against Villa – Phil Jones, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof, all with one goal apiece.

United are looking to become the first team in Premier League history to win four consecutive matches by a margin of three or more goals.

Aston Villa vs United, 10th July 12:45 AM IST.

Ole speaks about DDG’s form and our summer target Jack Grealish.

United play their 4th game in 12 days. With games coming in thick and fast, Ole has to be in front of the media every two days.

Speaking to the reporters via video call, Ole began answering questions about our next opponents Aston Villa, David De Gea’s form and gave us an update on the injury front.

He spoke about Scott McTominay’s learning experience from the rejuvenated and in-form Nemanja Matic and the Red Devil’s fight for a top-four finish.

Read more from the press conference down below: (via Manutd.com)

Morning Ole. You’re fighting for top four, Villa fighting for relegation, so where do the big threats come from in this Villa side?

“I think they’ve shown since the lockdown that they can hold their own. They have been tight games, the games they’ve had. You can see that they have clearly worked on their shape and their counter attacks are one of the most powerful ones in the league. They spring quickly, so you’ve got to be ready for that and set plays, good deliveries and good first contact players. And of course there are some individual players there.

David De Gea is about to overtake Peter Schmeichel in terms of his appearances for Manchester United. Having watched him from afar Ole, and now obviously working with him – firstly, did you think he would develop into the keeper we see today and secondly, is that loyalty becoming more rare in football, with the nine years he’s had at the club?

“Yeah. David as you say, he’s had some fantastic seasons here now and next year is his 10th and I think he’s proven Eric Steele right, that we believed in him. He had a little bit of a tough ride early on, with the physicality of football in England, but for me he has been the best goalkeeper in the world over the last nine or 10 years. And just to work with him closely, you see he’s still keen to learn, he’s still working hard. Richard [Hartis] coming in with Craig [Mawson] as the coaches, I think they’ve reignited a little bit of a spark in David and he’s working really hard in training.”

Ole reacts at the final whistle during the UEFA Europa League round of 32, second leg game between Manchester United and Club Brugge at Old Trafford.

Jack Grealish was the standout player when you guys played at Old Trafford. Is he going to be the main threat again and just how impressed have you been by him, because he seems to have really kicked on since his last spell in the Premier League?

“Well I think in the last game obviously they caused us some problems, both Grealish off the left and El Ghazi off the right. He [Grealish] caused us problems, he scored a fantastic goal, so there’s been lots said and talked about him and we need to be aware of him. Whoever is close to him, if he’s off the left, or he’s in the middle, on the right, what he does is attract players to him and creates space for others. There’s not just one player in that Villa team, there are many of them.”

Manchester United’s summer target Jack Grealish

You gave Nemanja Matic a new contract this week – Scott McTominay was one of the standout players before lockdown, so can he learn from Matic?

“I think Scott obviously is still a young boy, seven or eight years younger than Nemanja and Nemanja has been on record saying that he sees himself in Scott, so the two can bounce off each other. It’s never easy. I’ve told Nemanja before that Scott is going to play and he’s all right because he rates him and vice versa. I’m sure Scotty can learn a lot from Nemanja. The way he’s gone about his job in the last few seasons here has been good.”

There was an awful lot made of your remarks to Nathan Ake after the game on Saturday. Did you really mean you wanted a left-footed centre-back? That’s what you seemed to say to him…

“I have got seven centre-backs so I don’t know where that came from! We’re fine.”

The Red’s celebrating in front of the fans at Old Trafford.

Team News:

United’s next game will be played on Thursday night at 12:45 IST.

After Victor Lindelof sustained a minor back injury in the game against Bournemouth, Eric Bailly will most likely take his place.

With a handful of games to go, we might see a squad rotation or Ole would stick to the same line up which has served him well in the previous 3 PL games.

“There are not many that haven’t played in the last two weeks,”
“They all know they’re fit and available, that they’re valued. It’s not an issue. There are so many things to play for. Trophies – the FA Cup, the Europa League – but also the top four in the league. The group is very tight-knit and they all know they’ve got a part to play.”
Ole explained at his pre-match press conference.

Do you think we will continue our unbeaten run?
Whats your predicted lineup?

The new season has started and we are looking back at the greatest summer transfers. Here are the TOP 20 transfers across the top Leagues. (2017)

  • Neymar- Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain. €222 Million.
“Messi is Barca’s superstar, my son had to leave” this is what Neymar’s dad had to say on the most expensive transfer in football history. He is the world’s most marketable football player and has been very valuable for Barcelona. PSG had been looking for a star signing and had agreed to sign Emerick Aubameyang but the club ditched the idea and was set to buy Cristiano Ronaldo who was unhappy due to tax frauds. PSG took interest in Neymar when Barcelona showed interest in Marco Verratti. Neymar will have to wait for his debut as he had to sit out of PSG’s first league 1 game as Barca still haven’t cleared the transfer certificate.
  • Alvaro Morata- Real Madrid to Chelsea. £70 Million.
Manchester United’s hopes of signing Morata shattered when Chelsea made the most expensive signing of the club. Morata himself had doubts about where he wants to go but Chelsea stole the show and made the £70 Million record deal.
  • Joe Hart- Manchester City to West Ham.  Loan.
Manchester City and England goalkeeper is set to join West Ham for a season-long loan deal. Hart was on loan last season with Serie A team Torino when Pep Guardiola said he was no longer No.1 choice for Man City. He had preferred to stay there permanently but in the end, decided to come back to Premier League.
  • Wojciech Szczesny- Arsenal to Juventus. €12.2 Million.
After almost making 200 appearances with Arsenal, Wojciech Szczesny decided to leave the club to join Italian giants Juventus. The Polish keeper spent last two seasons with Roma on loan. Though he is happy with his new club he regrets the way things ended with Arsenal and expressed his gratitude on Instagram and thanked the club and the staff.
  • Nemanja Matic- Chelsea to Manchester United. £40 Million.
It was a bit shocking when Manchester United made this deal official considering his importance to Chelsea and his contribution in the last season. It is said that Matic maybe has forced his more to the rivals Man Utd. The Chelsea manager even went on to say that his plan to merge their new signing Tiemoue Bakayoko to the Premier League has been ruined after the Matic transfer.
  • Chicharito Hernandez- Bayer Leverkusen to West Ham. £16 Million.
The Ex-Manchester United player returned to Premier League after two long seasons with Leverkusen he also had a yearlong spell with Real Madrid where he made 23 appearances and scored 7 goals.
  • Tiemoue Bakayoko- Monaco to Chelsea. £40 Million.
The 22-year-old has signed 5 year deal with Chelsea from Monaco to become Chelsea’s second most expensive signing of all time. There were payment speculations at the beginning of the deal but Chelsea managed cracked their second major signing.
  • Kyle Walker- Tottenham to Man City. £45 Million + £5 Million Add-ons
Walker is set to become the world’s most expensive defender after (£47.5m) John Stones from Everton to City and Raheem Sterling’s £49m move to City from Liverpool in 2015. David Luiz’s 2014 move to Paris Saint-Germain from Chelsea also reportedly could have reached £50m after bonus clauses. Walker is happy with his new club and went on to say “It’s better to play football with a smile on your face.”
  • Dani Alves- Juventus to Paris Saint-Germain. Free.
Dani Alves ended his tenure with Juventus prematurely to join PSG, he has helped Juventus win Serie A and Coppa Italia last season and reach Champions League finals. However, he wasn’t happy with the club as they did not fully understand his style of play and did not fully allow him to play at his natural position.
  • Douglas Costa- Bayern Munich to Juventus €6 Million (Loan) + €40 Million option.
Juventus paid €6 Million for a yearlong loan deal and an option to buy him for €40 Million, his move was followed by James Rodriguez’s loan signing from Real Madrid.
  • Adnan Januzaj- Manchester United to Real Sociedad. €11 Million.
Januzaj made his debut for Manchester United in 2013 against Sunderland under David Moyes scoring twice. He was on a yearlong loan with Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland before signing a 5 year deal with Real Sociedad which includes a buy-back clause.
  • James Rodriguez- Real Madrid to Bayern Munich. 2 year Loan.
Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Juventus were among the clubs linked with James but Madrid president Florentino Perez wanted a €70 million fee. Bayern was able to do a successful bid with an option of permanent transfer offer.
  • Romelu Lukaku- Everton to Manchester United. £75 Million.
Jose Mourinho sold Lukaku to Everton when he was the manager of Chelsea and the pair was reunited when United won the bid against Chelsea to sign the Belgian striker. Lukaku has five years in his contract with an option for the sixth.

  • Wayne Rooney- Manchester United to Everton. Free.
The 31-year-old striker was on Mourinho’s radar when he was Real Madrid manager but couldn’t get regular football under him at Manchester United. After spending 13 years at United Wayne Rooney decided to leave the club to join Everton on a free transfer. Wayne has many records on his name including the all-time record scorer after beating Sir Bobby Charlton’s record last season when he scored his 250th goal. He has won 5 Premier League titles, 1 CL with the Reds, it was indeed an emotional move for the fans and the club.

  • Pepe- Real Madrid to Besiktas. Free.
After spending a decade at Real Madrid Pepe was out of contract after the club released him. He failed to be Zidane’s first choice in recent months due to injuries. The Portuguese was set to join PSG but the deal did not materialize.
  • Michael Keane- Burnley to Everton. £30 Million.
The England defender became Everton’s fifth signing this season. Keane has signed a 5-year contract and has been under the manager’s influence in joining the club. He was with United for 3 seasons where he hardly made the first-team appearance.
  • John Terry- Chelsea to Aston Villa. Free.
It was shocking when the club and the ex-Chelsea player made it official; Terry’s contract expired in June. The England player has signed a year’s contract where he will be getting £60,000-per-week. He played 717 games for the Blues and won five Premier League titles.
  • Mohamed Salah- Roma to Liverpool. £36 Million.
The former Chelsea man completed the signing with reds worth €39 million (£34.3m) and could be club-record signing. Liverpool paid £35m to Newcastle for Andy Carroll in January 2011. Salah signed a five-year deal and will wear No. 11 with Roberto Firmino agreeing to move to No. 9.
  • Victor Lindelof- Benfica to Manchester United. £40 Million.
Swedish international was the first signing of the Reds from Benfica on a four-year deal. United was looking to boost their defence as they prepare for the Champions League and he has been a long time target for United.
  • Pablo Zabaleta- Manchester City to West Ham. Free.
Zabaleta was released by Man City after his contract was expired, he declined offers from Italy, Spain to sign with West Ham and continue playing in the Premier League and is confident he can continue to deliver a good performance.
